Bolívar Government affirms that gasoline queues are due to “generalized nervousness”
The strong queues that have been recorded in Ciudad Guayana to supply fuel are due to “generalized nervousness” on the part of citizens. This was stated by General Jesús Zambrano Mata, Secretary of Strategic Affairs of the Government of Bolívar state.
Zambrano assured that many people queue only to buy between 5 and 10 books, something he considered illogical.
“The reason is always the rumor, the nervousness of the people, not returning to what was before, that has made us very susceptible to a rumor,” he said in statements quoted by Radio Fe y Joy.
Bolívar is receiving more fuel
He highlighted, in fact, that the city is receiving a greater volume of fuel compared to two months ago. At this time, between 5,500 and 5,700 barrels of fuel arrive daily to supply the state of Bolívar, enough to supply the different municipalities of the entity.
“Last year we had a problem, barely 3,000 barrels arrived after the pipeline was drilled,” he indicated.
He added that since October the supply of fuel in the region has been increasing, going from 4,000 barrels to 5,500 barrels.
