Police officers shot and killed one suspect, wounded another, and arrested a third, after an attempted robbery of a water delivery truck on Aranguez Main Road on Monday afternoon.
According to a police report, around 1 pm, delivery men from a Blue Waters truck had parked along the main road when two men jumped into the truck, attempting to rob them.
The struggle between the driver, the lorry man, and the suspects alerted members of the Inter-Agency Task Force, who were patrolling nearby.
One officer saw the suspects running south along Aranguez Main Road and opened fire. A marked police vehicle also responded.
A silver AD wagon pulled up as the suspects were escaping, and they got inside.
While continuing to give chase, the police intercepted the vehicle and opened fire, fatally shooting one suspect.
The other two suspects fled, but their escape was short-lived as the police eventually captured them. One of the suspects was shot and wounded.
The deceased suspect has yet to be identified.
Investigations are ongoing.
