Diosdado Cabello accuses the UN of playing in favor of fascism
The Minister of the Interior and Justice of Venezuela, Diosdado Cabello, said this Friday that the United Nations (UN) operates in favor of fascism, after criticizing the “passive attitude” of the organization in the face of the war in Gaza, which he described as a genocide by Israel against the Palestinian people.
«We could say today that the UN is always efficient (in acting against) when it comes to a country that wants freedom, its sovereignty and its independence. “It is very efficient at keeping an eye on countries that want to be free, but it is extremely passive and calm with those that are exterminating people,” he said.
Cabello made these statements during a global youth forum against fascism, in Caracas, organized by the government, in which he urged participants not to expect anything from the UN.
“These organizations, unfortunately, play in favor of fascism,” he said in the activity, broadcast by the state channel Venezolana de Televisión (VTV).

President Nicolás Maduro has criticized on numerous occasions the role of UN, especially in the face of conflicts such as the Russian invasion of Ukraine – in which Caracas supports Moscow – or Israel’s attacks against Iran and Lebanon.
Representatives of the Chavista government have stressed the need to rethink the functioning of the UN, which in August published a critical report on the presidential elections of July 28, in which Maduro was proclaimed the winner, a result indicated as fraudulent by the majority opposition and not recognized. by numerous countries.
