The US is upset by the Tehran-Caracas relationship
Iran’s Defense Minister, Aziz Nasirzadeh, expressed this Thursday, from Venezuela, that the United States “is upset” by the relationship that Tehran and Caracas are building in search of a “world free of hegemony.”
«US imperialism always seeks to have hegemony over free and sovereign peoples and governments, and is upset by the development of cooperation between the two countries, “who seek a world free of hegemony,” he expressed after the signing of bilateral agreements, in an event – broadcast by the state channel VTV – led by President Nicolás Maduro.
In that sense, the Iranian official insisted that his country and Venezuela are “friends and brothers” who are together in “one ship” in the face of the “threats that exist in the world.”
Therefore, he continued, The “best message” that Tehran and Caracas can transmit is “alliance and unity”which “demonstrates the defeat and failure of the world hegemonic system.”
Nasirzadeh expressed feeling “very pleased” to be visiting this “beautiful country”, and assured that “geographical distance has never been an obstacle to the deepening of bilateral relations.”
20 years of Tehran-Caracas relationship
For his part, Maduro affirmed that the two nations are weaving, with their own hands and at their own pace, a relationship that is part of a “new world”, with which they say “no to hegemonism, no to imperialism and no to colonialism.”
«Today we have 20 uninterrupted years of work on relationships between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, of effective work, building human ties, deep political trust, building brave and solid positions in all the situations that have arisen in recent decades,” said the Chavista leader.
In his opinion, Iran “has known how to resist more than 45 years of imperialist siege,” which, instead of “decreasing its fighting spirit, what it has done is increase its battle spirit and move forward,” and today – he added – is a country that has “a solid economy” and that has “its own technology.”
Both countries signed a cooperation agreement on “technology transfer and training in artificial intelligence” between the National Center for Information Technologies (CNTI) of Venezuela and the modern data center development company MDC of Iran.
