$5.7M Lotto winner credits his resilience for his big win
A Santa Cruz resident won the NLCB Lotto Plus $5m Jackpot after years of playing twice a week, he said.
According to a release from the NLCB, he bought the winning ticket at Lucky Bakery Lotto Booth in San Juan.
He lost his parents at a young age and credits his resilience and focus for his achievements.
The winner said this win allows him to finish building his home in Trinidad and pursue his dream of owning property in New York. He also intends to continue helping his community and hopes to visit Africa someday.
His quick pick included the numbers 4, 15, 25, 29, 32, and Powerball 9, which secured the $5,745,865.82 prize.
He said he has no plans for a “big celebration,” and plans to take things in stride.
Reflecting on his journey, he advised others to “Keep playing.”
