The Communist Party of Venezuela (PCV) warned this Tuesday that the sanctions imposed by the United States against the government of Nicolás Maduro will be used – it said – for how “justification” for “increase its policy of repression.”

“We warn that the application of these new US unilateral coercive measures will surely be used as justification by the government of Nicolás Maduro to increase its policy of repression, violation of the constitutional rights of the Venezuelan people«said Pedro Eusse, member of the political bureau of the PCV, at a press conference.

Eusse indicated that a “dirty war” is already seen from the Venezuelan government against “those who demand respect for the Constitution.”

He rejected the bill approved by the United States House of Representatives, which complements the regulations that prohibit federal institutions of the North American government from hiring people or companies that have commercial ties with the Chavista Executive.

“We denounce that this is another act of aggression by the United States against Venezuela, against the Venezuelan people, a new demonstration of the crude interference that the United States practices, in that conception of the Monroe Doctrine by considering Latin America as its backyard,” Eusse said.

Sanctions against Maduro

The communist demanded that these practices of “interference” in the internal affairs of Venezuela stop, because – he said – The United States is not acting to favor Venezuelans.

The proposed regulations in the United States also prohibit hiring people or companies that have commercial ties with “any successor government.” of Maduro that “is not recognized as legitimate by the United States.”

The bill was presented by Florida representatives Mike Waltz, Republican, and Debbie Wasserman Schultz, Democrat, who believe, in the former’s words, that the United States should “maintain existing sanctions against the regime and seek to expand them to minimize resources.” of Maduro to abuse freedoms and the prosperity of the Venezuelan people.

On Thursday, the Parliament – controlled by Chavismo – approved the discussion of an organic law that seeks to politically disqualify those who request countries, «terrorist groups or associations” that impose economic sanctions against the nation.

The bill was approved unanimously in the plenary session, in which the president of the Chamber, the Chavista Jorge Rodríguez, He insisted that political disqualification must be perpetual.
