Venezuelans in Argentina organize a festival to ask for peace and democracy in Venezuela

The civil association Alianza por Venezuela will celebrate on Sunday, December 15 in Buenos Aires, Argentina, its customary Christmas festival Venezuela Siente, which This year will be dedicated to asking for peace and democracy in the country.

The activity will be between 1:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. in Plaza Brasil, at the exit of the Faculty of Law station on subway line H, in Recoleta.

It will have the participation of more than 40 gastronomic and craft entrepreneursas well as musical groups of bagpipes, drums and Venezuelan plain music.

«This will be a very special occasion because, in addition to generating a space for cultural integration and reclaiming the typical aspects of Venezuelanness, through culture, music, gastronomy and art, it will also We will have a space to make visible what is happening in our country and above all to ask for peace and democracy in Venezuela,” said Alexander Galvis, president of Alliance for Venezuela.

Charbel Najm, vice president of the organization, explained that there will also be spaces to report on human rights violations in Venezuela and ask for the release of the nearly 2,000 political prisoners.

«Venezuelans abroad feel deep pain and sadness for what is happening in Venezuela, especially during these holidays, which should be a time of family reunion. But We also feel hope for a better future that we are sure will come sooner rather than later. to our homeland, because we Venezuelans have already decided for the most part to be free and we are going to achieve it. That is why this year our festival, in addition to rediscovering the flavors and sounds of our Venezuelanness, is also dedicated to asking for peace and democracy,” said Najm.
