A Venezuelan is murdered in Ecuador
Francisco José Mendoza Salazar, A 40-year-old Venezuelan residing in Ecuador was murdered to rob him.
The Venezuelan’s family had reported his disappearance last Saturday, November 23 because they had not heard from him after he went to work.
Mendoza performed moving and other services in a vehicle that had been assigned to him. According to information published in the La Nación Newspaper, Last weekend he received a call from Rafael Tzamarenda, brother of the mayor of the area where he lived, who required his services for a transfer.
Mendoza agreed to do the work and left with his vehicle that Saturday. Within hours, his family heard nothing more about him and reported him missing.
On Monday morning, they received the news that Mendoza and Tzamarenda had been murdered, apparently to rob them.
The Venezuelan had lived in the town of Palora for six years with his wife and two daughters, one 18 and the other 13 years old.
Their families ask that justice be done and those responsible be captured..
The family group is from San Antonio del Táchira, in the border municipality of Bolívar. Although Mendoza was born in Caracas, he lived for many years on the border with Colombia, and it was from there that he began the migratory route with his family to Ecuador.
