AN of 2020 approves the budget for 2025
The National Assembly (AN, Parliament) of Venezuela, with a large pro-government majority, approved this Thursday the budget presented on Tuesday by the Vice President Delcy Rodríguez for next year, about 22,662 million dollars.
Now the document must be promulgated by the president, Nicolás Maduro, indicated Jorge Rodríguez, head of the Chamber.
In the presentation of the budget, the vice president explained that 77.6% of the amount will be allocated to social investment, culture and communication, science and technology, infrastructure and public works, as well as education, health, housing and security. inter alia.
By 2025, according to the Executive, it is planned to launch an “operational plan” that contemplates a total of 290 projects, several of them related to those discussed in “popular consultations.”
On the other hand, the Parliamentor also approved this Thursday the ‘Special Annual Debt Law for the Financial Year 2025’, without further explanations about the instrument.
