Cabo Star back in service on Tuesday

  • Nov, Mon, 2024

The M.V. Cabo Star could be back in service tomorrow, Tuesday 26 November 2024, by which time ongoing maintenance works should be complete, an advisory from the Trinidad and Tobago Inter-Island Transportation Company Limited (TTIT) says.

The TTIT is estimating that the vessel will depart from the Port of Spain Ferry Terminal at 2:00 pm on Tuesday.

The cargo ferry was down this past weekend as it underwent planned maintenance works at the Port of Spain Ferry Terminal.

“These works are necessary to maintain the operational efficiency and reliability of the vessel. Only upon the completion of these works can the vessel resume its normal sailing schedule,” the TTIT advisory stated.

The TTIT had hoped the repairs would have been completed in time for the M.V. Cabo Star to resume its normal sailing schedule from today (Monday, November 25).  Today’s sailings at 2:00 pm from Port of Spain and 11.00 pm from Scarborough have been cancelled as a result.

The TTIT Management is urging all Truckers, Port Users and Consignees to check its social media platforms or website or contact them via WhatsApp (723-1179) prior to coming to the terminals to verify that the vessel has resumed sailing.
