Cops follow trail of blood in Cumuto to find murdered man
Investigations are continuing into the killing of a Cumuto man on Monday night.
The victim was identified as Roland Joseph, 24, of Cumuto Main Road, Cumuto.
Officers from the Cumuto Police Station on mobile patrol around 9.45 pm were notified that gunshots had been heard at Hilltop Drive, Cumuto.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found a bicycle lying on the southern side of the road, along with some empty shell casings.
They followed a trail of blood leading 200 feet off the northern side of the road, where they found Joseph’s body.
He had been lying face down in the bushes.
A total of 21 spent shell casings were recovered at the scene.
