The political leader, Enrique Márquez, went this Thursday to the headquarters of the Public Ministry in Caracas, to request a hearing with prosecutor Tarek William Saab to discuss the issue of political prisoners in Venezuela.
“We have sent the letter, it has been received. We are going to be attentive to this important hearing because it has to do precisely with the search for freedom for this group of political prisoners, mainly young people and children,” Márquez said in a video published on the social network X.
According to the leaderjustice must be “done” in these cases, especially in those involving “children and adolescents who are detained in common prisons,” following the post-election protests in the country.
“The special law that enshrines the rights of children and adolescents, as well as international legislation, are on the side of a solution for this type of case. We are going to be at this meeting in defense of the rights of these detainees and in defense of the Constitution,” Márquez expressed in the audiovisual material.
