Juan Pablo Guanipa’s message for the Maduro government

Juan Pablo Guanipa affirmed this Thursday that “there is no fascism more fascist” than the government of Nicolás Maduro, after the Anti-Fascist World Parliamentary Forum was held in Caracas this week, organized by the National Assembly – controlled by Chavismo -, to which legislators from 53 countries attended, according to the ruling party.

«The fight against fascism is nothing more than a mask to make themselves seen as what they are not (…). These gentlemen, who accuse everyone of being fascists, are essentially fascists,” Guanipa said through a video on X.

The former deputy – who is part of the opposition group that Maduro calls “fascist” – asserted that “these people are marked by lies,” in reference to the government, and “when they talk about fascism what they are doing is looking in the mirror.” .

«Let us always be clear that our fight is to defeat them. By defeating them, we defeat fascism and achieve for Venezuela a just, supportive homeland, with the rule of law, respect for human rights, democracy and freedom,” he said.

He explained that fascism is characterized by promoting “extreme nationalism and the irrational cult of the homeland”, by rejecting “liberal doctrines, individual rights” and the “separation of powers.”

The largest opposition coalition affirms that in Venezuela there is no separation of powers and accuses Maduro of controlling institutions such as the National Electoral Council – which proclaimed the victory of the Chavista in the presidential elections on July 28 – and the Supreme Court of Justice, which validated this result, in the face of allegations of fraud.

On Tuesday, during the closing of the World Anti-Fascist Parliamentary Forum, the president of the Venezuelan Parliament, the Chavista Jorge Rodríguez, announced that representatives of several countries agreed to the creation of an international network to fight against fascism, which they consider a threat from the ” imperialism”.

The forum was announced last month by the AN as part of an “offensive” against opposition actions, after several parliaments recognized the opposition candidate, Edmundo González Urrutia, as winner of the elections, a result that the ruling party claims to support. through the publication of 83.5% of the electoral records, documents that the government labels as “false.”
