Opposition leader María Corina Machado sent a message of encouragement to the Venezuelan populationurging her not to succumb to the fear that the government of Nicolás Maduro seeks to impose.

From hiding, the also coordinator of the Vente Venezuela party used her social networks to reaffirm her commitment to freedom and the reconstruction of the country.

“They want us to live in fear. Fear of going out on the street, of being locked up, fear of everything staying the same. “Today I tell you firmly: the time has come when fear is afraid of us.”he declared in a video released on Saturday.

Machado, persecuted by the Chavista regime with accusations of treason and conspiracy, stressed that the courage of the Venezuelan people is the key to achieving political change.

“Let him tremble before the strength of a people who have risen up bravely, determined not to surrender. “Let him be afraid of the ability to rebuild a country that belongs to us.”he stated.

The message is part of a series of weekly communications that the former deputy has promised to offer to her followers in preparation for January 10, 2025, the date on which, according to the Venezuelan Constitution, the next president of the Republic must take office.

The audiovisual, accompanied by images of key moments in Venezuelan political life in 2024, culminated with an emphatic call: “Fear has no place in the heart of a people that has chosen to be free. Together we are unstoppable, and the time is now.”
