Opposition leader Edmundo González Urrutia He reiterated that he will not lead a government from exile and assured that he will return to Venezuela to take office as future president on January 10. In an interview with El PaÃs de España, he stated that he will form a government with MarÃa Corina Machado as executive vice president.
“No,” González Urrutia responded bluntly when asked if he plans to be inaugurated in his current exile, and added: “That is clear: I am going to be in Venezuela” on that date.

González, a diplomat away from the political front line until this year, took the reins of a campaign led before and now by Machado for administrative purposes.
