Sangre Grande man shot dead in his bedroom

TYRELL Alvarez, 27, of Sangre Grande was shot dead in his bedroom early on August 22.

Police said around 12.30 am they got a report of gunshots at Bailey Avenue, Northeastern Settlement, Sangre Grande.

An informant found Alvarez with a single gunshot wound to his head, in his bedroom.

Police took Alvarez to the Sangre Grande Hospital as he was still alive.

Alvarez died undergoing emergency treatment and was pronounced dead at 2.17 am.

The CID recovered three spent 9 mm shell casings.

Police investigations are ongoing.
