“There have already been more than 85 hours of continuous siege of the residence of the Argentine Embassy in Caracas, protected by Brazil, with the presence of regime officials on the outskirts,” said one of the asylum seekers, Pedro Urruchurtu, a close collaborator of the opposition leader. The six took refuge in March after the Prosecutor’s Office accused them of crimes such as conspiracy and treason.
