They warn about the death of two girls in Delta Amacuro with symptoms of vomiting and diarrhea
Two girls died last week with symptoms of vomiting and diarrhea and at least 20 other minors present the same signsin addition to young people and adults, in the community of Remanse, Antonio Díaz municipality of the Delta Amacuro state.
For approximately 20 days, the inhabitants of this community, children and adults, have begun to present these symptoms, according to a citizen who spoke on condition of anonymity with Radio Fe y Alegría News.
The minors who died were identified as Sulanis Pérez and Yusmelis Centeno, both one year old. The first died on November 9 and the second on Sunday the 17th.
Illness with vomiting and diarrhea causes concern in Delta Amacuro
An 82-year-old woman, identified as Lisinia Pérez, was in serious condition, but managed to recover. after being transported for a day and a half by canoe and paddle to a health center in Santa Catalina, in the Casacoima municipality.
Four other people, between young people and adults, have recovered from the disease that worries the inhabitants of the area, which is approximately three hours by river from Tucupita, in Delta Amacuro, in fast boats.
In the absence of medicines,he residents of Remansón have been treating the disease with home remediesaccording to Radio Fe y Alegría.
Although the origin of the disease is unknown, residents point out that the water they consume is cloudy because they obtain it from the Orinoco River.
