Tobago records 20th murder
Tobago recorded its 20th murder last night after gunmen opened fire on a group at Calder Hall.
Senior Superintendent Rodhill Kirk confirmed Kurlon Thomas, of Goodwood, died after gunmen opened fire on a group of men he was liming with. Omari Roberts, Jerome Charles, and Nicholas Bovell were among the others injured.
Guardian Media understands that two of the injured men had survived a fatal shooting on August 5, where Ezra Sylvester was killed in Scarborough. Police believe the gunmen returned to finish their targets from last month’s attack.
Nicholas Bovell is the brother of murdered Trinibad artiste N’Kosi Bovell.
In 2022, N’Kosi Bovell, also known as Fari Dan, was shot several times while liming with friends at the Dutch Fort Restaurant and Bar in Scarborough. The gunmen fled the scene immediately after the attack.
