UNC rejects SRC’s pay hike proposal
Even though its members of parliament stand to benefit, the opposition has rejected the Salaries Review Commission’s latest proposed salary increases. The proposed increases could cost taxpayers over a hundred and fifty million dollars in back pay. Making their positions clear, MPs Barry Padarath and Rudranath Indarsingh say the ball is now in the government’s court to say whether the report will move forward. Kay-Marie Fletcher reports.
